He was born October 29, 1929 in Pittsburg, PA to the late Alois and Mary Elizabeth BucherlHe served in the U.S. Army as a Staff Sergeant during the Korean War receiving a Korean Service Medal, United Nation Service Medal, Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, American Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal 4th Award, Overseas Service Bars 3. Jim is survived by son, Mark Bucherl (Stacy); daughters, Sue Dinius (Brian), Maryanne Courtney, and Joan Woods, eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; brother, Robert Bucherl (Malona); sister, Betty Alford (Gary); sister-in-law, Rose BucherlGraveside service will be at Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Madison, IN at 11:00 a.m.
